What is ADSL2+?
“ADSL” stands for Asymmetric digital subscriber line, which is a type of DSL broadband communications technology used for connecting to the Internet. ADSL allows more data to be sent over existing copper telephone lines (PSTN) at your premises. If your business hasn't been connected to the NBN yet, there's a good choice that ADSL2+ is your current go-to internet technology.

A few important things to note:
- ADSL is not available everywhere
- Availability depends on a number of factors, including the length of cable to the nearest telephone exchange and the quality of the existing telephone service.
- The actual speed may often be less and vary due to several factors including:
- network configuration
- line quality and length
- exchange type, customer premises interference
- customer location (distance from the telephone exchange)
- traffic
- hardware and software configuration.
As a rule of thumb, you can live as far as 1km from your local exchange before you start to notice speed degradation.
