Migrating to Commander with Webex - FAQs

What is Commander with Webex?

Commander with Webex combines voice and video calling, messaging, conferencing and meetings into one unified, secure application, making it perfect for teams of all sizes.

How much does Commander with Webex cost?

Details are outlined in the information we sent you about the change to Commander with Webex.

How do I set up Commander with Webex?

Set up your account here.

You will need the username and password we sent when we told you about the change to Commander with Webex. Each phone plan has a separate username and password, so if you have multiple services, you will need to sign up for each one individually.

After entering your username and password, you’ll be asked to enter an email. Once your email is verified and you receive the verification notice, then your account is set up.

Once your account is set up, you can download the apps here.

Keep your username and password handy, as you will need them to log in.

What if I can’t find/forget my username and password

We can provide you with the information. Just call the team on 1300 478 828 and select ‘Anything Else’ from the main menu; then ‘I need help with a technical issue’.

What do I have to do with my Smart UC app?

Just remove it from your devices like you would any app that is no longer used.

What if I already have a Webex subscription?

Unfortunately, we can’t link them together at present. If you’re already using a free Webex account with the same email you register, your Commander with Webex will override your old account. This means you won’t retain any chat history or contacts you have stored in your free Webex account.

If you already have a paid Webex subscription and don't want to change that, you can register for Commander with Webex with a different email address. Or, if you want to change the email address for your account, follow the process outlined below.

  1. Log in to your existing Webex account with your existing email address.
  2. Once you are logged in, go to ‘Account Settings’ and click on email. You will be prompted to enter a new email address.
  3. When this is done, you will be sent a confirmation to both your ‘old’ and ‘new’ email addresses.

Can I upgrade Commander with Webex?

Not at present - but stay tuned for future developments.
