All types of nbn™ network connections that utilise a physical line running to the premises (FTTP, FTTN, FTTB & HFC) are considered nbn™ Fixed Line connections. The difference between the methods / technology type of connection simply comes down to how it utilises the existing network technology in connecting the nearest available fibre node to the specific premises.

Did you know that if you don’t connect to the nbn before the disconnection date, you may actually lose your current phone number?When the nbn becomes available at your location, you will have about 18 months to switch to the nbn before your existing landline may be disconnected. But there are many reasons why it makes sense to switch as soon as possible – especially if you want to retain your existing phone number.
